Task-based learning is a different way to teach languages. It can help students by placing them in life-like situations where oral communication is essential for completing a specific task.

Task-based learning is an approach that makes learners use their skills at their current level and helps develop language through its use. They focus on achieving a goal, and language becomes a necessary tool for it.

In this course we will:

  • look at the principles behind TBL
  • introduce you to the TBL lesson framework
  • learn how to adapt coursebook materials and supplement them with TBL tasks.

You will get equipped with learning activities for each phase of the TBL lesson, learn about the teacher's role and some practical ways of introducing new language.

This course will allow you to implement TBL in your classroom in the most effective and efficient way.
